the vet center

Find your vet.

Licensed veterinarians near you, by video or in person. Start with your location, or search by name, practice, city or ZIP. Anyone with the PawsRx Verified badge has had their license checked by us.

Profiles marked "PawsRx Verified" belong to veterinarians whose active license PawsRx verified at onboarding. Listings without the badge are compiled from public records, have not been verified by PawsRx, and are not affiliated with PawsRx unless claimed. PawsRx is a technology platform and does not provide veterinary care, does not employ veterinarians, and does not endorse any particular provider. All care decisions are between you and the veterinarian you choose.

What the PawsRx Vet Center is

A directory of 26,528 veterinary practices across 8,123 cities in 51 states, free for pet owners to search. There is no membership, no markup, and we take no cut of what you pay your vet.

One badge means one checked thing. PawsRx Verified means a veterinarian claimed the page and we checked an active license against the state board. There are 5 of those. A listing without the badge is compiled from public records: nobody at the practice has confirmed it, and it is not affiliated with PawsRx. We say which is which rather than quietly mixing the two, because a directory that does is telling you something untrue about all of them. How we verify a vet.

You can also ask a licensed vet a question free without booking anything, or ask other pet owners.

Two guides go deeper on the questions this page gets asked: the platforms that find and book a local vet, compared and how to find a vet for an exotic pet. Before you choose one: how to read a practice's reviews, how to find one that tells you the price and what to ask when you call.

What it costs: the prices practices publish, state by state (California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina and 31 more), and low-cost and nonprofit clinics for when the price is the problem.
