Refunds & Cancellations

Free accounts

PawsRx accounts for pet parents are free. There is nothing to cancel or refund. You can delete your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us.

Vet Center appointment payments

When you book an appointment with a provider who accepts online payment, your card is authorized at booking but not charged. The charge is only captured after your appointment is completed.

• Cancel before your appointment: the authorization is released in full and you are never charged. Cancellations can be made from your dashboard or by contacting the provider.
• Provider cancels or doesn't show: the authorization is released in full.
• After a completed appointment: payment goes to the provider, who delivers and bills the service. If something went wrong, contact us at hello@pawsrx.io within 7 days and we will work with you and the provider to resolve it, including refunds where appropriate.

Medication subscription plans

Where PawsRx medication plans are offered ($35–$89/month):

• No prescription, no charge: if the independent veterinarian does not issue a prescription, you receive a full refund of any amount paid.
• Cancel anytime: cancel online from your dashboard. Cancellation before your prescription is issued includes a full refund. After that, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Shipped compounded medications are custom-prepared for your pet and by pharmacy law generally cannot be returned or resold. If a shipment arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 14 days and we will replace it or refund it.

Provider subscriptions

Paid provider tools (when offered) are billed monthly or annually and can be cancelled online at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees for a started billing period are not prorated.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, typically appearing within 5–10 business days. Payments are processed by Stripe.
