Rachel, who goes by Ray, owns the van and does the grooming. She has been at it since 2011 and is AKC Safety Certified, Pet CPR and First Aid Certified, and a Certified Dog and Cat Groomer, with a Certified Pet Aesthetician qualification in progress.

The van is a private salon that parks at your door: cage-free, one pet at a time, 100% filtered water, products picked for the pet's skin and coat, gentle handling, and a robe or towel to keep them warm through the drying. Texts and photos go out through the groom so you can get on with your day.

Mobile suits anxious pets, multi-pet households, puppies and kittens, senior pets and busy owners. Ray also works over time with nervous and fear-reactive dogs, so grooming becomes something they can tolerate and even enjoy.

The van covers the greater San Fernando Valley: Winnetka, Northridge, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, West Hills, Hidden Hills, Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Porter Ranch, Chatsworth and Granada Hills.

Before the van arrives, have your dog on a harness or collar and lead, or your cat in a carrier; they will lend you one if you need it. A dog that has been out to potty 20 to 30 minutes beforehand does better. Parking is agreed in advance and the van needs a flat spot with the length and height clearance for a large cargo van, so vehicles have to be moved before it gets there.

The first visit needs you present for a meet and greet. After that, returning clients can arrange a key or code entry service.

Severely matted coats get shaved rather than de-matted, which the groomer assesses and talks through with you on arrival. Rabies vaccination is required for dogs and cats, puppies need their first two sets of shots, and a card on file is required to book, with payment taken at the appointment.

Arrival runs to a window of about an hour, and they reach out if anything delays them. The groomer waits up to 15 minutes past the appointment time before it counts as a no-show.
