Washing Spot has been grooming dogs in Echo Park and Silver Lake since 2009. Full-service grooming is for the dogs happy to let a groomer do the work; the three self-wash stations are for the ones who would rather have their own person there.

Every groom and bath also finishes with the paw pads scooped and trimmed, a silky dirt-repellent finish, a deodorizing spritz and a bandanna.

Grooming, bathing and self-wash are all by appointment, and the salon does not take walk-ins for self-wash. Same-day appointments are welcome when there is room.

Extra charges can apply for puppies, curly or heavily matted coats, de-shedding and any dog that needs more time. On the bathing side, double-coated breeds carry one too, and de-shedding and fluffing are included.

Anal gland expression and ear plucking are done on request rather than by default.

Self-wash appointments run 45 minutes and the last one of the day starts at 3:00 pm.
