lather opened in 2016 in Bloomfield, in Pittsburgh's East End, offering both a d.i.y. pet wash and full-service grooming by licensed, professional groomers who take appointments every day. Shampoos, conditioners and grooming products are natural and organic.

You are welcome to stay while your pet is groomed. Cats must arrive in a carrier, and cat appointments are booked by phone rather than online. Any animal found with fleas gets a flea bath at an added charge.

Dogs must be up to date on rabies, with DHLPP and bordetella recommended; cats on rabies, FVRCP and bordetella. Bring vaccination records to the first appointment. Closed on major holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
