4 Hounds is a small, locally owned grooming salon and pet shop in Covington, serving Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. Owner Chris left analytics for grooming, and the team now includes groomers Cassidy and Sidney.

Pets wait in individual ventilated stainless-steel crates; dogs with crate anxiety can be accommodated if you mention it when booking. The salon also nail-trims other small animals.

A pet taxi can pick up and drop off within 15 miles of the shop, from $10, booked with your grooming appointment.

The shop sells natural, US-made foods and treats, toys and at-home grooming supplies. Street parking nearby is free for 15 minutes, and the shop has a reserved space in an adjacent lot.
