Pups-N-Suds grooms pets one-on-one so dogs are not kenneled for long stretches. It has stores in Gardner, Olathe and Leawood; this is the Olathe shop on Mur Len Rd.

The staff keep notes on each pet's behavior, triggers and preferences, work in pairs to lift big dogs, and use lift tables for nervous pups. Muzzles are a last resort, and owners are told if one was used.

Cats get baths, nail trims, sanitary trims, brush-outs and shaves. Each visit ends with a spritz of cologne and a bow or bandana unless you ask them not to, and appointments can be booked far ahead with a text reminder.
