Mikala has groomed since 2017 and now works from her home, one dog at a time. She offers hand stripping, pet-safe hair dye, nail polish and Asian fusion cuts.

She specializes in dogs that are not used to grooming, including anxious, fearful or reactive dogs, and works with them over repeat visits. Muzzles are used only when needed, and if a groom cannot be finished safely she stops and calls the owner.

A groom usually takes 3 to 4 hours and dogs must be picked up by 5 pm. New clients fill out paperwork online before the first visit. Puppies start with a face, feet and fanny visit rather than a full haircut.
