Puffytail has been grooming in the Encino area for years and works on dogs of every breed and pattern as well as cats. Each groom is built around the individual pet, and the groomers work with patience rather than speed.

It is a neighborhood shop, and the people who run it like talking with the owners who bring pets in. Cat grooming is the part they take particular pride in: cats do a lot of their own grooming, but some of them need a hand, and Puffytail treats each one gently.

A full dog groom is a bath with shampoo and conditioner, a blow dry and brush, cut and shape, and nails and ears, with anal glands done on request. On a bath-only appointment, light trimming of the face, paws and sanitary area is an extra charge.

Full grooming time varies by breed, but plan on at least two to three hours, longer for size, behaviour, a medical condition, or more than one dog.
