Good to know

Midtown Groom & Board was founded in 1970 by its original owner, Dolly, as what it describes as Austin's first professional grooming salon, and is still locally owned on Baylor Street.

Grooming is by appointment only, Monday through Saturday, with no walk-ins. Dogs are dropped off by 9:30 am on the day of the groom.

All grooming guests must be current on Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella, and puppies need every round finished before their first groom. The groomers handle breed-specific cuts, hand scissoring, de-shedding and specialty shampoos.
