Laura's Doggie Doo's opened in South Austin in December 2007 and has since moved to a new shop at Slaughter Lane and South 1st. Laura has more than 30 years of grooming behind her, after earlier years as a vet tech and managing a humane society.
The salon follows humanity before vanity: severely matted coats are shaved and started over rather than brushed out.
The team works to return dogs quickly but puts safety and quality of work ahead of speed, so pickup times cannot be guaranteed. A Spanish-speaking groomer is on staff.
