Good to know
Hayley's Day Spa is a Forest Hills dog spa named for the owners' Cocker Spaniel. It takes dogs of every size, with large walk-in wash stations for big dogs.
Matted coats are usually shaved, the kinder option for the skin. Owners who want mats combed out instead pay $40 an hour on top of the groom.
New clients bring current vaccination records and the rabies certificate. Rabies, DAHPP and Bordetella (every six months) are required, and dogs must be free of fleas, ticks and contagious illness.
