Good to know
Desert Pet Spa is a locally owned dog and cat grooming salon. The owner and head groomer, Kaori (Ms. Kay), is a certified Master Groomer from Japan who ran a salon in Dallas before moving to Las Vegas.
A groom takes 2 to 6 hours because several dogs are groomed at once, and each dog gets breaks between steps to stay relaxed. Express appointments, groomed straight through, take about 45 minutes to 2 hours. Owners are asked not to wait in the salon while their dog is worked on.
Cat appointments start after 3 pm, by reservation. If a cat gets nervous, they take a break or stop. Sanitary trim and paw pad shaving for cats are available on request.
Puppies can start as early as 8 to 12 weeks. You can bring your own shampoo; hand it to the groomer at check-in.

Cat brushes
Long-haired cats mat first behind the ears, under the legs and on the belly. Short, frequent sessions tend to go better than one long one.
