Good to know

Prices are estimates by breed, size, coat, temperament and style; extra time for coat condition, heavy deshedding, dematting, pattern cuts or behavior adds $10-$35.

Jennifer Farnum, a certified groomer and former veterinary technician, started grooming in 1996 with one of the first mobile salons in Chester and Montgomery counties. She and her husband Tony opened a salon in Gladwyne in 2010 and moved to Exton in 2017.

There is no one-cut-fits-all approach; each groom is shaped to the owner's wishes, coat and condition permitting, and the salon does not rush grooms. It does not take pets too large to handle safely or dogs that have shown aggression during grooming.

Not offered: cat grooming, nail-only trims for non-clients, teeth cleaning, anal gland expression, once-a-year shave-downs of matted pets and flea treatments. Puppies can make their first visit around four months, after core vaccines; rabies vaccination is required by state law.

The website lists the salon as open Tuesday to Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday.
