Good to know
Bathe R Doggie opened in Pasadena in January 2000, and the current owners took it over in July 2019. They have three dogs of their own, Foxy, Foster and Bo, and say it was their love for dogs that led them to buy the shop. The groomer who has been there since day one is an expert in grooming both dogs and cats.
It is a same-day bathing and grooming shop, not a kennel: they do not board and do not pet sit. The last full service of the day is offered at 3:00 pm.
You can bring your own shampoo and conditioner for either full service grooming or self-service bathing. Self-service is limited to washing and drying: nail trimming and hair cutting are done by the groomers, not by you. Pets wear the shop's safety leash while they are in the tub, and a regular leash any time they are out of it.
They carry the major brands of flea and tick preventative, and they will make every reasonable effort for a pet that is shy, scared or otherwise not convinced that clean is keen.
The shop closes on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day and July 4th.
