Good to know

A local pet shop with a grooming salon, self-wash tubs, natural pet food, supplements and a treat bakery, open seven days a week, minutes from Midtown, Melrose and Downtown Phoenix.

Walk-in services such as nails, ears, teeth and glands need no appointment when a groomer is in; the coat must be clean and dry for any hair trimming. For full grooms, book about a week ahead, and up to three weeks ahead around the holidays.

If fleas or ticks are found, the groom stops and the pet has to be picked up.

If you are not happy with a groom, tell the shop within 72 hours and they will put it right.
