Good to know

A Clip Above has been grooming dogs in Centennial since November 2010, from young puppies to seniors and nervous or special-needs pets. Every groom includes a consultation, an all-natural bath with conditioner, a hand blow-out finished with room-temperature kennel drying, nail trim and file, ear cleaning and the haircut. Special shampoos are included at no charge, and the salon will use a shampoo your veterinarian prescribed.

Pricing works on a tier system like a hair salon: three levels of groomer based on experience and skill.

Willow, the resident cat groomer, has 16 years of experience with cats of every size and coat. Cats are groomed up to 11 years old, since there is no vet on staff.

A current rabies vaccination is required. The salon does not do flea and tick baths; a pet found with fleas or ticks is sent home and can come back to finish once treated. Owners wait out front rather than in the grooming area. Same-day appointments are taken when there is room.

Clients arriving 15 to 30 minutes late pay a $10 to $15 late fee; past 30 minutes the visit may be rescheduled, cut to a bath and fluff, or finished late with a $15 fee.
