Good to know

The Whole Cat & Kaboodle is a cat-only grooming spa in downtown Kirkland, part of a cat care shop founded by Nancy Howard that also runs a cat cafe and adoption center.

Walk-in nail and pad trims run daily from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm; everything else is by appointment. The groomers work at a cat's pace with fear-free handling and often take fearful, elderly or previously turned-away cats, using shorter visits, gradual desensitization or spot grooming when that is kinder.

Arriving 15 or more minutes late adds a $10 fee, and the appointment may have to be rebooked. The shop is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
