Good to know

Urban Doggie is a one-woman mobile grooming service run by Tia, a Certified Small Dog Specialist who has groomed for 22 years, 16 of them in Kirkland. She grooms only dogs under 25 lbs, one dog at a time, in a purpose-built Mercedes Sprinter van parked in your driveway or at the curb, with no crates or cages and a hand dryer only.

The route covers Kirkland's 98033 neighborhoods: Central Houghton, Lakeview, Moss Bay, Market, Norkirk, Highlands, Everest, South Juanita, Bridle Trails and North and South Rose Hill. Appointments run Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 1:20 pm.

The van is 11 feet tall, so it cannot enter parking garages, carports or low-clearance areas. It serves houses, townhomes, condos and apartments with outdoor access and parking, up to four flights of outdoor stairs, but not high-rises, buildings that need an elevator, offices or business parks. Have proof of a current rabies vaccine ready for the first visit.
