The Wash Dog has served Southwest Seattle since 2001, with self-service bathing rooms alongside professional bathers and groomers. Self-service closes at 6:30 pm on weekdays and 4:30 pm on weekends.

Walk-ins are welcome for nail trims, self-service bathing, bang trims, tooth brushing and ear cleaning; face trims and full paw trims need an appointment.

Bathers only work out mats that come free with gentle combing or brushing; heavier matting goes to a groomer after they check with you, and you are told before any flea treatment starts.

Arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment or you may be asked to reschedule. Dogs not collected within two and a half hours of the ready call may be charged $25 for each extra hour, as the shop has little space to hold them.
