Good to know

Porchlight is a one-person mobile grooming business run by Steve, who does every groom himself in a climate-controlled van parked outside your home. It serves North Seattle, including Ballard, Fremont, Green Lake, Phinney Ridge, Whittier Heights, Greenwood, Wallingford, Magnolia, Queen Anne and Capitol Hill.

Every groom includes a coat, skin, ear and mouth check, ear cleaning and plucking as appropriate, and optional anal gland expression. First-time clients can add a free 15-minute meet and greet so the dog can explore the van before the first groom.

An adult needs to be there to hand the dog over and take them back; in between you can go about your day. Several dogs from one household can be groomed back to back in one visit, each on their own. Steve holds a Certified Professional Groom Tech credential from the Paragon School of Pet Grooming and a pet CPR and first aid certificate, and sends a grooming report after each visit.
