The salon is inside the PetSmart store on S Azusa Ave and keeps its own hours, opening earlier than the store. Pet Stylists are academy-trained with over 800 hours of hands-on instruction, work with at least 200 dogs of all breeds and sizes during training, and are safety certified every year.

A full groom usually takes three to four hours. Express service, which keeps a dog with one stylist and out of a kennel, is offered for senior and anxious dogs and is required for French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers and Boston Terriers. The salon has a viewing area where pet parents can watch the groom.

PetSmart requires every pet to be current on rabies vaccination, with paperwork as proof, and to wait at least 24 hours after any vaccination before checking in. Puppies and kittens between 8 weeks and 4 months old may be groomed without vaccinations. Every pet must be in good health before any grooming service, and pets are never sedated.
