Good to know

Petite Paws grooms small dogs only, up to 30 pounds full grown. It is open Monday to Saturday, and walk-in nail trims are taken Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm.

Puppies start with a tidy trim rather than a full haircut, and may need two tidy trims before they are ready for one, so they are eased into grooming. Puppies can be groomed from 4 months old, or once old enough for their rabies vaccination; Washington requires the salon to have the rabies vaccination date on file before an appointment.

Bring your dog in a harness on a regular, non-retractable leash, and leave kennels and bags at home; the salon has its own kennels. Dogs are not taken outside for bathroom breaks, so a walk beforehand helps. A dog who dislikes the dryer is towel dried and set in front of a fan, which takes a little longer.
