Good to know
A North Park grooming and pet supply shop since 1998, with two self-wash stations.
The salon does light brushing, not de-tangling, so heavily matted coats may need a shave-down. Chow Chows and aggressive pets are not accepted.
Full grooming usually needs an appointment, especially on weekends. The self-wash is walk-in, with the last dog taken 45 minutes before closing, and a $15 charge may apply when a heavily coated dog leaves an excessive mess.

Slicker brushes
Curly and doodle coats mat close to the skin. Groomers follow a slicker with a metal comb to check they reached the bottom.

Cat brushes
Long-haired cats mat first behind the ears, under the legs and on the belly. Short, frequent sessions tend to go better than one long one.
