Dog Splash has been a day spa and boutique for dogs and cats since 2004, with a holistic approach: deep cleansing massage baths with all-natural products, aromatherapy on request, and bottled water for dogs during their stay. All grooming is done at the front of the salon, in view.

The salon limits how many pets it takes each day and does not rush. A visit runs one to four hours depending on the services, and the salon calls when your pet is ready. Your stylist will go over anything noticed, such as hot spots, dry skin or fleas, and send you home with written care instructions.

Appointments are best booked ahead, though walk-ins are welcome; the last appointments start no later than 3 pm. On a first visit you fill out a pet profile card and bring current vet records.

Open Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, closed Tuesday, and Sunday by appointment only.

Owner and head stylist Heidi Anderson trained at the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts and learned hand stripping from the salon's previous owner.
