Good to know
The Upper Arlington salon is the flagship Designer Paws location, on Fishinger Road just west of Riverside Drive, with free on-site parking. Standalone nail trims need no full groom.
Designer Paws grooms dogs of every size up to 250 pounds and grooms cats in a separate cat-only room. Dogs are hand dried, with no cage dryers, and every dog waits in its own kennel.
The groomers compete at national grooming shows and offer hand stripping for terriers and wire-coated breeds, plus creative color.
The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. Dogs need current rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, and cats rabies and FVRCP. Brushing out mats costs $2 a minute on top of the groom.
