Good to know
Brooklyn Pet Spa has groomed Brooklyn pets since 2008 in a cage-free Park Slope salon. Groomers have show-dog experience, hand-strip terriers, and won't shave double-coated breeds unless medically necessary.
Anxious pets and first-timers are taken slowly, and an appointment can be split into several short visits. Cats are groomed one at a time in a quiet area away from the dogs. A free 15-minute video consultation is available before a dog's first groom.
Full grooms usually take 2 to 4 hours even though online booking shows a 30-minute slot. Current vaccinations (rabies and DHPP for dogs, FVRCP for cats) are required at the first visit.
