Good to know
Austin Pet Stylist is a one-groomer salon: Jade Joy, a National Certified Master Groomer and Pet Tech certified CPR and first aid instructor, grooms every dog. The salon is inside Mod Mutt and takes a few new clients at a time.
Open by appointment only, Tuesday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3 pm, and closed weekends. Bath and nail appointments are often available the same or next day.
Baths always include nails and ear cleaning, and anal glands are checked with each service. Matted coats are de-matted to an extent at a per-minute rate; heavy matting is shaved down for the dog's comfort. Fluffy trims over half an inch need a four to six week schedule.
Current rabies paperwork is required for every dog. Aggressive dogs are not groomed, and dogs needing special handling may carry a handling fee of $5 to $30.
