Good to know

Xcel Pet Spa is a family-run, AKC S.A.F.E. and A.P.P.G.A. certified salon on the Independence Square, owned by pet stylist Mallory. Each dog gets its own condo with bedding, toys, treats and music instead of a wire kennel, and every groom ends with a photo shoot.

Grooming runs Tuesday to Friday. Drop-off is 7 to 8:30 am and pickup is usually 12:30 or 1:30 pm; pets are not held past pickup time.

All breeds are welcome, including anxious and dog-aggressive dogs. The salon does not sedate pets or accept sedated pets, and does not groom cats. The phones are not answered while grooming, so texting or leaving a voicemail gets the fastest reply. Rabies vaccination is required for pets over 6 months.
