Dog grooming is charged by hands-on time, based on coat, size, haircut and how often your dog is groomed; cats missing their recommended schedule can cost up to $50 more.

The Sudsy Puppy is a locally owned salon, open since 2015, with groomers of three to twenty years' experience. There are also salons in Crofton and Odenton.

Doodles and poodle mixes join a doodle program: together with the salon you agree a regular schedule, usually every four to six weeks, which the salon requires to keep grooming the coat.

Private self-wash rooms come with brushes, professional shampoo, grooming leads, towels and dryers, and the salon cleans up.

Dogs and cats need rabies and distemper vaccines; puppies under six months must have started boosters. Cats should come in a crate. If you want a change to the haircut, let the salon know within 48 hours.
