Scissors and Suds has groomed in San Antonio since 1983 and has two locations; this is the Tezel Road store, and the other is on Patricia.

Every groomer has at least 20 years of experience, and the team comes from the conformation show ring as well as pet grooming. Dogs of all breeds are groomed to breed standard or to the owner's wishes, decided together at drop-off. Scissor finishing is a specialty, especially long, fluffy styles on Bichons, Maltese and similar coated breeds.

The salon uses organic, natural shampoos and conditioners matched to each coat and skin, and will point out anything it notices during the groom. A prepaid maintenance program is offered for weekly or every-other-week clients. Payment is by cash or check.
