Nails 2 Tails is a local grooming business with three salons in the Rio Grande Valley, founded by Lorina. Groomers work in the open rather than behind a wall, and every visit starts with a five-point check of skin, coat, eyes, ears, nails and teeth so you and your stylist can agree on the right service.

The salon will never recommend a cut that would hurt, and may stop a groom if a dog shows unsafe levels of distress. Cat grooming is offered at the Edinburg salon.

The McAllen salon is open 9 am to 6 pm; the website does not list which days.
