Modern Pet Salon opened in October 2011 in Weddington Corners Shopping Center, founded by Danyelle Stephen, and is still a privately owned, family-run salon focused on dog and cat grooming. The team works carefully, never rushes and does not overbook.

Every groom starts with a one-on-one consultation, and reference pictures are welcome. Pets are towel dried, then fluff dried by hand on the table; the salon never uses cage dryers. A groom can take two to four hours depending on the cut, size and coat, and the salon calls as soon as your pet is ready. Pickup can be as late as 5:30 pm.

Before the first visit, submit your pet's rabies record and the salon waiver. Senior pets get extra breaks and gentle handling and need a senior waiver.

The VIP (Very Important Pet) membership is $19.99 a month or $220 a year.
