Good to know

Howlistic uses all-natural, eco-friendly products that blend oils, herbs, botanicals and flower essences, chosen to calm dogs while their skin and coat are cleaned. Baths follow the salon's Humane Bath procedure, and after every groom you get a note of anything the bather noticed.

The owner began as an apprentice 18 years ago in Columbus, Ohio. He managed a grooming department for three years, then spent nine years at a high-volume Gold Coast salon before opening Howlistic.

Special services are available for ill, aged or disabled pets; ask when you book. Prescribed shampoos must come with your veterinarian's instructions.

Each appointment has a 15-minute grace period. Dogs from early appointments must be picked up within 90 minutes of the groom, and dogs from the last appointments of the day by closing.
