Good to know

The El Dorado Hills Spa sits near Latrobe and White Rock. The spa has no weight limit, staff are certified Fear Free, and dogs are not crated. Products are Iv San Bernard. Owner Jean Gould has groomed for over 30 years, opened Good Dog in 2001 and is a certified pet aesthetician with a skin and coat restoration program.

The business also runs mobile grooming vans for dogs up to 70 lbs across Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Rescue and Orangevale and parts of nearby towns, a second spa in Granite Bay, and a shuttle to this spa for some nearby communities.

The spa does not shave double-coated breeds unless matted or for a medical reason. Proof of current rabies vaccine is required at the spa for dogs and cats over 6 months. The site says the spa opens at 9 am Monday to Friday and some Saturdays by appointment.
