Emmy's Paw Spa is a mobile grooming service: the van parks outside your home and your dog is groomed inside, one-on-one, with the van's own heated water, power, air conditioning and heat. It serves the greater San Diego area, including Chula Vista and Eastlake, Bonita, Imperial Beach, Otay Mesa and San Ysidro, Coronado, National City, Paradise Hills, Spring Valley, Mount Helix, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Mission Valley, North and South Park, Hillcrest, Point Loma and Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla. It is taking new clients through a new-client intake form.

The website lists hours of Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, 9 am to 4:30 pm, closed Thursday to Saturday and on major holidays; the online booking calendar also opens Thursday and Friday. Texting is the best way to reach the salon.

Matted coats are de-matted at $1 a minute, or shaved when that is safer, and dogs with fleas get a flea and tick shampoo for $15. A current rabies vaccine is required. Aggressive dogs are not accepted, and the salon does not groom skunked dogs. Touch-ups are offered within 48 hours if time allows.
