Starting prices by coat type and size; dematting, add-ons and special handling may cost more, and any extra is explained before the groom is finished.

Family-owned by two sisters, Dawgs & Paws grooms in its Silver Spring salon or from a mobile van at your door. The team takes time with nervous dogs, seniors, puppies and pets that need a slower pace.

The salon is open Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm; pick-ups must be made before closing. The van serves Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Potomac, Bethesda, parts of DC, Laurel and Beltsville, and needs a safe place to park.

Rabies vaccination is required. Dogs with active fleas are not accepted; if fleas are found during the groom, a flea bath is required to finish. A card must be on file, and card payments carry a $2.50 processing fee.
