Dashing Dog Wicker Park is one of three Dashing Dog grooming salons in Chicago.

To ask for a particular groomer, add their name to the booking notes. Two dogs can be groomed side by side by two stylists, or back to back with one. If your dog needs to be done by a set time, book the first slot of the day and say so at drop-off.

Nervous dogs and dogs with special needs do best early on a Sunday through Thursday; Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days. Dogs that cannot be kenneled can be noted in the booking for the fastest possible service.

Rabies proof is required, and vaccine records must be in at least 48 hours before the appointment; a vet letter or titer document is the only exception. For a puppy's first visit the salon suggests a bath package, with a full groom the time after.

Tangles that can be brushed out safely may carry a dematting fee. Where mats are too tight to the skin, the salon may recommend shaving those areas, and will call, sometimes with photos, if it finds them mid-groom.
