Good to know
Crossroads is a nonprofit social enterprise based in a 100-year-old Victorian house in Germantown. All proceeds from its store and grooming go back into job training, mentoring and affordable housing for young adults, and rescued dogs and cats are available for adoption.
The Germantown shop also has a self-service dog wash with shampoo, conditioner, flea shampoo, towels and a blow dryer, at $15 for 10 minutes, with no appointment needed.
Crossroads runs a six-month grooming school, and students groom under experienced instructors.
