After a bad reaction to oral flea pills, is a topical flea treatment an option for a small dog?

What they asked

No you misunderstood me lol we gave him ORAL PILLS and that i felt caused those side effects. So now i would like to switch to frontline topical instead. But i am worried that just flea medicine in general will cause these effects to him so my question is considering he had a bad reaction to the PILLS should i just skip flea medicine all together or do you think frontline topical would be a good option.

Phew, that is good to know. What was the medication he has been receiving?
