Good to know

A small grooming facility that deliberately takes fewer dogs than most salons so no groom is rushed. Appointments run one to three hours, longer for oversized dogs or those needing special handling, and you get a call or text when your dog is ready. Regular clients are kept on a four-week maintenance schedule.

The salon works with difficult and nervous dogs, and takes extra care with elderly pets. Express appointments, where the groomer starts straight away and works without interruption, are booked by phone rather than online and cost extra depending on size.

The salon's pages give its hours as Tuesday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm; staff are not in before opening, so arrive at opening time rather than earlier. Pets should be collected within 15 minutes of closing.

Hard floors are where older dogs slip. A runner along their usual route gives them grip.
