Visits usually take 2.5 to 4 hours including settling-in time and breaks; small short-haired dogs are often done in about an hour.

Tali Tails is a small woman-owned, cage-free grooming salon and doggy daycare that began in 2018 on owner Tali David's patio and has since moved to a larger storefront in West Hills. Each dog spends its first 20 to 30 minutes socializing to settle before the groom, and gets a photo when it is ready for pickup.

Proof of Bordetella and DHPP vaccination is needed before the first visit. Dogs with open wounds or recent surgery may not be accepted, and the salon does not take dogs over 12 years old. Full haircuts wait until 8 months; puppies get baths and face, feet and fanny trims.

If fleas are found the dog will need a flea bath, and the salon calls before going ahead. Severely matted coats may need shaving instead of de-matting, again only after a call.
