Good to know
Spaw is a cage-free salon where dogs can move around and socialize while they wait. Baths use the Hydrosurge massaging system, and dogs are hand dried; the few who cannot tolerate a dryer rest in a crate with an unheated fan.
New clients are welcome. Dogs under 30 lbs and under 10 years old, socialized, with no major behavioral or medical concerns can book instantly online; other dogs start with an application.
By appointment only, usually finishing between 4 and 6 pm. The salon has no voicemail, so if no one answers, try again in a few minutes. Metered street parking and a side lot are available.

Lick mats
Something to lick, stuck to the tub wall or the floor, keeps a lot of dogs still for a bath or a nail trim.

Non-slip rugs and runners
Hard floors are where older dogs slip. A runner along their usual route gives them grip.
