Sparkle & Shine opened its doors in 2006 and has been going ever since, with more than twenty years of grooming experience behind the bench. Love and respect are the foundation of everything they do.

A dog is welcome as long as it has been socialised and is used to being handled; senior animals are taken case by case. Plan on about four hours in the shop. Sometimes it is less and sometimes more, depending on the dog's size and coat condition and on how the rest of the day's dogs are doing. Owners do not stay for the groom, because a dog that is not distracted is safer for itself and for the groomer.

Most dogs come back every six to eight weeks, though it really depends on coat length and condition. Appointments are booked three to ten days out, and longer for a dog that needs special attention. Cash, check, all major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Cash App are all accepted.

Their own size guide runs small for a chihuahua, dachshund, Frenchie or Yorkie; medium for a Shiba Inu or cocker spaniel; large for a pit bull, goldendoodle, Labrador, golden retriever, Australian shepherd or border collie; XL for a standard poodle, XL goldendoodle, German shepherd or Siberian husky; and XXL for an Alaskan malamute or Great Pyrenees.
