Good to know

Every groom and bath includes nail trim and grinding, ear cleaning, bath, dry, brush out and cologne, with ear plucking and external gland expression on request; husky-type bath dogs add $21 for drying time.

Maryland Elite Dog Spa was founded in 2018 by an N.D.G.A.A. certified master groomer with over two decades of experience. One groomer stays with your dog for the whole appointment, which runs 1 to 2 hours, and there are no hidden fees.

Dogs are dropped off at their appointment time and you get a 15-minute heads-up before they are done. Pets are hand-dried, never with heated cage dryers. Dogs that cannot be crated can be groomed if the owner stays in the lobby or parking lot. All haircut styles are kept at 1 inch or shorter.

The business also runs mobile vans and a second salon in Laurel. Book online through the salon intake form; missed calls and voicemails are not returned. Posted Ferndale schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7 am to 8 pm; Tuesday, Friday and Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.
