Good to know
Lucky Penny's is a family-owned shop in the Antelope Plaza, between Antelope Rd and Black Eagle Dr. Christopher Vaquerano has groomed since 2011 and opened the shop in December 2017; it is named after his dog Penny.
The work station is visible from the lobby, and dogs wait their turn in a relaxation room with classical music. A typical groom takes up to about three hours, and you get a heads-up around 30 minutes before your dog is ready.
Appointments are preferred; walk-ins are welcome when there is room. Tours of the shop are welcome, and you can bring a picture of a cut you have in mind.
