Ironmaya is named for a puppy. Iron Maya arrived unexpectedly one warm August morning, the family turned their kitchen into a birthing suite, and she was the litter's only survivor. The salon grew out of that.
Diamond Bar is one of five Ironmaya salons, alongside Arcadia, Rosemead, Upland and San Dimas, each with its own appointment line. The scissor work across the bench adds up to more than fifty years.
A Wash Club membership costs $9.99 a month and takes 15% off bath and brush visits, up to four in each 30-day cycle at the store where you enrol, with a bath appointment offered within 48 hours Monday to Saturday. It does not cover haircuts or any body trimming; eye, paw, tail and ear trims, teeth brushing, flea baths and nose and paw moisturising get the same discount when added to a bath.
