Happy Hound Grooming works from self-contained, fully equipped vans that need nothing more than a place to park. One groomer handles one dog at a time, and most grooms are done in about an hour.

The vans visit San Antonio and nearby areas including Fair Oaks, Dominion, Helotes, Converse, Stone Oak, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Garden Ridge and the Sea World area, depending on availability.

Because a single groomer runs each van, dogs must be under 100 lbs, 12 years old or younger, and able to stand for the whole groom. No tranquilizers are ever used.

Appointments come with a one-hour arrival window and are confirmed the day before; an unconfirmed appointment is taken off the schedule. Recurring appointments can be set up.
