Good to know
Dogfather Grooming has groomed pets in southern Connecticut for about 20 years, from mobile vans and salons in Stratford and Meriden.
Most grooms for smaller pets take about an hour and a half; doodles and larger or thicker-coated dogs can take two to three hours. Standing appointments are available to keep the same day, time and stylist.
Pets must have state-mandated vaccines. The salon does not give any medicine; if a vet has prescribed a sedative, follow those instructions and tell the groomer.
