Vet pay, shared anonymously
Add your pay, see every range
Add what you're paid, or an offer you got, and every range on PawsRx opens for you. It takes about two minutes.
- We check your license once, then keep only a scrambled code. Never your name or license number.
- Nobody sees your entry. Pages show ranges only, and only when 5 or more people are behind them.
- Made-up entries get the account banned, and that license can't come back.

How pay sharing works
Who can share
- Licensed veterinarians, and vet techs in states whose board lists techs.
- We check your license number and last name against your state's public license roster. If your state's roster isn't one we can check yet, we'll say so.
- One license, one account. A license already verified on another account can't be used again.
What we keep
- We never keep your name or your license number. Once the check is done we keep only a scrambled code made from your license number, which stops the same license being used twice.
- What you share is stored on its own, without your name, your account or the date. Only the month is kept.
- Nothing we store connects your account to what you shared.
What other people see
- Ranges only. No number is shown until at least 5 people have shared for that group.
- Figures are rounded, and the number of people behind them is shown as a band, never an exact count.
- When a group is too small, we show a wider one: your metro, then your state, then your region, then the whole country.
- Nobody, including other members and the practices you work for, sees anyone's single entry.
Give to get
- You can see 3 ranges before you share. After that, share your pay to see every range.
- Pay from job ads and government surveys is always open to everyone, and it's labeled separately. We never mix it with what members share.
- You can share your current pay and an offer, once each in any 12 months.
Made up entries
- Share your real pay. Unusual numbers are held for review before they count.
- If we find an entry is made up, we remove it and ban the account. The license is blocked too, so it can't come back on a new account.
- To block a license, we work out which license a banned entry came from. That's the only time we ever do.
